Alex had a fever. Instead of going to school, he stayed at home to rest. Lying in bed, he felt uncomfortable and bored. He picked up a picture magazine, hoping to find something as a distraction.
All of a sudden, Alex found himself immersed in the picture, standing by the Aegean Sea. The scenery in front of him was still, as if time had frozen at that moment.
The waves silently reached their highest point but never seemed to fall. Alex was shocked. He tried moving his fingers and thankfully, he could still move. However, as he moved his fingers, the scenery changed.
Alex was now at the foot of Mount Fuji in Japan. The mountain was partially shrouded in clouds, magnificent yet mysterious. But he noticed that even the clouds were still. He blinked in surprise, and as he did, the scenery changed again.
He found himself under the Eiffel Tower in France. He saw one of the most famous buildings in the world and felt the romance and beauty of Paris. He wanted to get closer for a better look, but as he lifted his foot, the tower disappeared from his sight.
He arrived at the Great Wall of China. The ancient architecture was solemn and spectacular. Alex felt the weight of history. He wanted to stay a little longer and held his breath, trying not to make any movements. He longed to see the view on the other side of the Great Wall, but as he turned his head, the scenery changed again.
In the blink of an eye, Alex was in Antarctica. The snowy ground was extremely quiet. He knew this was the most remote and coldest place on Earth. He couldn't help but close his eyes and sneeze!
When he opened his eyes again, Alex was back in his own bed. This wonderful journey left him very excited. He couldn't help but recall those amazing scenes and exclaim in amazement.
